Just a short drive from Málaga City, your journey begins in the heart of the Andalusian mountains. The first stage takes you through Grazalema, one of the most charming mountain villages in Andalusia, where the iconic Spanish fir tree (pinsapo) is a defining feature of the landscape.

The route continues through some of the most spectacular scenery in southern Spain, crossing rugged limestone mountains, hidden valleys, and peaceful trails. Combining both circular and linear walks, you will discover traditional white villages such as Benamahoma, Villaluenga and Benaocaz, each with its narrow streets, historic charm, and strong connection to the surrounding mountains. The following stages towards Montejaque and Benaoján take you across extensive areas of traditional dehesa woodland and pastureland, characteristic of this region, where herds of cattle, sheep and goats roam freely.

The final stages follow the course of the Guadiaro River, eventually leading you into Ronda, one of Andalusia’s most impressive towns, dramatically perched above the spectacular Tajo Gorge. Its iconic bridge, historic streets, and unique setting make it the perfect place to experience the fascinating blend of nature, culture, and history that defines this region.
